DAY 1 – WELCOME TO CUSCO & IMPERIAL CITY HIGHLIGHTS
Upon arrival at Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport in Cusco, a dedicated representative from Andean Bear Journeys will extend a warm welcome and arrange your private transfer to your hotel.
Take time to check in, relax, and gradually adjust to the altitude (3,399 meters / 11,150 feet above sea level).
In the afternoon, embark on an immersive guiding tour through Cusco’s most iconic historical monuments:
Cusco Cathedral: A colonial masterpiece housing priceless artwork from the Cusqueña Art School.
Qorikancha (The Temple of the Sun): The most sacred precinct of the ancient Inca Empire.
Sacsayhuamán: A massive megalithic complex showcasing extraordinary Inca engineering.

DAY 2 – LIVING HERITAGE & SACRED VALLEY SCENIC TREK
CHINCHERO + CCORCCOR VILLAGE + MORAY + MARAS SALT PANS + OLLANTAYTAMBO

Begin your morning in Chinchero, visiting a traditional textile interpretation center to learn ancient weaving techniques directly from high-altitude master weavers.
Continue to the rural community of Ccorccor for an authentic living culture immersion. Participate in traditional Andean games, gain insight into daily life, and indulge in a traditional Pachamanca lunch, an ancestral feast cooked underground over heated stones.
In the afternoon, explore Moray, an impressive agricultural laboratory featuring dramatic concentric terraces. Next, visit the famous Salt Mines of Maras, a stunning mosaic of over 3,000 subterranean salt pans harvested since pre-Inca times.
Conclude your Valley exploration in Ollantaytambo, a living Inca town with ancient stone streets and mountain fortresses.
In the evening, board the Expedition Train heading to Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes). Arrival, private reception, and hotel transfer.

DAY 3 – MACHU PICCHU: THE EPIC CITADEL ADVENTURE
After an early breakfast, meet your private expert guide to board the Consettur bus up to the Machu Picchu Sanctuary.

Enjoy a 2.5-hour private guided tour across the citadel’s agricultural terraces, temples, urban sectors, and breathtaking viewpoints. Your guide will unveil the deep architectural and astronomical secrets of the Tahuantinsuyo empire. After the tour, capture final group photographs and absorb the extraordinary energy of the surrounding cloud forest peaks.
Descend by bus to Machu Picchu Pueblo for lunch. Head to the train station 30 minutes prior to departure to board the Vistadome Observatory Train back to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, your private driver will transfer you comfortably back to your hotel in Cusco.

DAY 4 – RAINBOW MOUNTAIN ON ATVS
HIGH-ALTITUDE ADVENTURE IN THE ANDES

Journey south across scenic Andean highlands. After a two-hour drive, enjoy a hearty breakfast in Cusipata before reaching our private ATV base camp. Receive a professional safety briefing and operating instructions before starting your ride.
Throttle up through pristine high-altitude trails featuring panoramic views of snowy peaks, wide-open valleys, and native Andean wildlife. Upon reaching the motorized limit, take a short, rewarding hike to the main viewpoints of Vinicunca (Rainbow Mountain). Take time for photo opportunities and celebrate this natural milestone with your friends.
Return on your ATVs for a delicious buffet lunch in Cusipata before your comfortable private transfer back to Cusco.

DAY 5 – Q’ESWACHAKA INCA BRIDGE: ANCIENT TRAILS & LIVING TRADITION

Depart early from Cusco toward the Apurímac River Canyon. Drive through pristine alpine countryside, mountain pass views, and the famous Four Lagoons Circuit.
Arrive at Q’eswachaka, the last remaining hand-woven Inca rope bridge in the world. Discover the cultural heritage and ancestral engineering behind this masterpiece, reconstructed annually using vegetable fiber woven by local native communities.
