Live an exhilarating adventure driving an ATV through the breathtaking landscapes surrounding the imperial city until you reach the awe-inspiring Morada de los Dioses (Apukunaq Tianan). This extraordinary, open-air artistic sanctuary features gigantic sculptures chiseled directly into the raw rock face, paying homage to Andean cosmology and the ancient deities of the Inca Empire.
At Andean Bear Journeys, we have masterfully designed this dynamic ATV tour in Cusco for travelers who wish to combine high-octane adventure, local culture, and stunning landscapes into a brief, high-impact excursion filled with memorable moments.
At your scheduled time, our team will pick you up directly from your hotel or a designated meeting point near the historic center of Cusco. From there, we will drive to our private base of operations in Tica Tica, located approximately 25 minutes from the city.
Preparation and Setting Off
Upon arrival at our base, your specialized guide will provide a comprehensive safety briefing and a detailed tutorial on operating the ATVs, ensuring you can fully enjoy the ride with complete confidence.
Following a brief practice run on a controlled circuit, each guest will have plenty of time to get comfortable handling the vehicle before we set off on the open trail.
ATV Route to the Morada de los Dioses
We will embark on an exhilarating 45-minute ride along rural mountain tracks framed by alpine landscapes and natural viewpoints, offering you an entirely new, panoramic perspective over the valley of Cusco.
Our destination is the magnificent Apukunaq Tianan in Cusco—a striking collection of monumental sculptures hand-carved out of the living mountain rock by local artists, inspired by the primary divinities and ancestral legends of Andean culture.
During our private tour, we will wander through the site to admire colossal representations of Pachamama (Mother Earth), the Puma, the Apu (Mountain Spirit), the Condor, and other figures that symbolize the deep spiritual identity of the Andes.
You will have ample time to explore the sanctuary, absorb the serene natural surroundings, and capture spectacular photographs with the massive carvings and the towering mountains of Cusco as your backdrop.
Upon concluding the visit, we will ride our ATVs back to our operations base, where our premium transport vehicle will be ready to take you comfortably back to the city.
