A Private Journey into the Heart of the Andes

Discover one of the most extraordinary landscapes in the Peruvian Andes through an experience meticulously crafted for travelers seeking nature, comfort, and exclusivity.
Your journey begins with a private pickup from your Cusco hotel between 4:30 AM and 5:00 AM. Boarding our premium tour vehicle, you will enjoy a scenic three-hour drive through the breathtaking Andean highlands to the community of Pacchanta. This traditional village sits at the base of the towering Mt. Ausangate (20,945 ft / 6,384 m), revered as one of the most sacred peaks in Andean cosmology.
Upon arrival, we will enjoy a breakfast prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients before setting off on a gradual uphill trek. This gentle pace allows you to properly acclimate while taking in some of the most spectacular natural vistas the Vilcanota mountain range has to offer.
Over the course of approximately five hours (roundtrip), we will explore the Seven Lagoons of Ausangate. Fed by glacial meltwaters, each lagoon boasts its own distinct personality and vibrant hues, ranging from deep blues and turquoises to brilliant emerald greens.
We will visit the following lagoons:
- Azulcocha
- Otorongo
- Pucacocha
- Alqacocha
- Q’omercocha
- Orqo Otorongo
- China Otorongo
At every stop, you will enjoy front-row views of Mt. Ausangate reflecting across the crystalline waters—creating landscapes of rare, exceptional beauty.
Throughout the trek, look out for iconic Andean wildlife, including alpacas, llamas, vicuñas, viscachas, and a variety of high-altitude bird species that call this protected ecosystem home.
After completing the hike, we will return to Pacchanta for a carefully prepared, authentic Andean lunch. To cap off the day, you will have time to unwind in Pacchanta’s famous natural hot springs. The mineral-rich pools offer stunning views of Ausangate and provide the perfect way to soothe your muscles after the trek.
Finally, we will begin our return trip to Cusco, dropping you off at your hotel between roughly 6:30 PM and 7:30 PM.
